A superb tool for making the crease or fullering in a handmade horseshoe. Head is approx. 3" X 7/8" X 7/8" and made of a hot working shock resistant tool steel. The 17" ash handle comes with two rubber disks (one is a spare) and mounting instructions so it can be for right or left handed use. This tool is long enough to keep the wooden handle away from the heat yet short enough to allow good vision of both the crease and the striking surface of the tool. Available in three blade widths: STANDARD for most 5/16" and 3/8" thick horseshoes using a City head nail. Comes in two lengths, regular or the NEW Shorty. WIDE for 1/4" stock so that the fullering is wide enough but doesn't risk cutting through the steel, or use it anywhere you want a wider crease. SLIM for a narrower crease for smaller nails. Excellent to use to get the depth on a crease in thicker shoes then follow with one of the other creasers for correct width - makes creasing draft shoes as easy as any other shoe. Specify blade width when ordering. |
